Abstract

Intravascular Large B Cell Lymphoma (IVLBCL) is a rare disease that preferentially affects the central nervous system (CNS), but it is rarely limited to it. Its unique ability to express only molecules involved in cell migration and adhesion, but not those in extravasation, makes it confined to small and medium vessels, making the diagnosis challenging. There are about 300 cases reported worldwide, with 50% presenting with some form of neurological deficits. We hereby present a case of a 50-year-old female who presented with a rapidly progressive course of encephalopathy and fluctuating focal deficits over 2 months. She was diagnosed with IVBCL postmortem by a brain autopsy.
