While recognizing the importance of the concept of “culture,” especially for the social sciences, scholars differ in their views on the necessity and possibility of its strict definition. As a supporter of the development and use of the most precise scientific concepts, I believe that a positive direction in research is the creation of a laconic interpretation of the concept of “culture” that covers all phenomena related to culture. In the proposed approach, culture is conceptualized as a system of models created by humanity as a whole, groups, and individuals. The unifying nature of the approach ensures the use of the basic, interdisciplinary concept of “model” and the principle of modeling. In the application of this approach to the problems of the psychological sciences, special, personal and subpersonal models of perception, thinking, and behavior are considered. These models are formed by humanity, groups, and individuals in processes of interaction with the rest of the world.
