Certain forms of Parasites have been anticipated to present certain cancer-like features, although, the link between the two diseases has been missing for some time, leading to the design by pharmaceutical engineers of chemotherapeutic agents without a full understanding of why some of those designs have been beneficial, as opposed to other ones. It seems that the reason for successful chemotherapy is linked to their anti-parasitic action, regardless of the origin of the tumor, the standard of anti-parasitic action could prove to be what we need to target cancers universally, similarly to what happened to antibiotic therapy in the early 20th century. If this theory turns out to be true, then treating cancer in the future will be just like treating the flu. The reasoning behind this work is addressed in this short study, featuring current literature slowly moving towards that direction and an earliest one that was in fact published on this preprint server, but adding further proof that anti-parasitic agents could be key in the future of cancer treatment.
