Abstract

We tested MK, a professional opera singer who became amusic following a right-hemisphere stroke. Despite her severe global amusia (i.e., receptive and expressive impairment), all her other cognitive functions remained normal. Therefore, we coined the term "pure global amusia" to describe MK's impairment in music processing.
