Abstract

Exploring Emotional Responses to Familiar Music in Healthy Adults: A Systematic Review. This systematic review investigates the emotional responses elicited by familiar music in healthyadults. Emotional responses were measured through subjective ratings of valence and arousal, while physiological responses included electrodermal activity (EDA) and heart rate (HR) assupportive indicators of subjective experiences. Searches across Google Scholar, PubMed, andPsycInfo yielded experimental studies focused on familiarity based on memory recognition ofwhole musical pieces as opposed to individual elements (e.g., tempo or timbre).
