In high gas or outburst mines, traditional gas drainage boreholes design faces several challenges, including a prolonged design period, low efficiency, and susceptibility to human error. To address these limitations, an intelligent approach was developed using the C#.NET language for secondary development of a Geographic Information System (GIS). By inputting relevant mine parameters, the system generates spatial position parameters of boreholes and layout diagrams, enabling intelligent borehole design and trajectory monitoring. Density analysis of coal drilling in a three-dimensional environment is conducted to identify blank zones in drilling control. Research demonstrates that the intelligent gas drainage borehole design system significantly enhances design speed and accuracy. The system's practical application in Shanxi Huoerxinhe Coal Industry verifies its effectiveness. It facilitates rapid and precise gas drainage borehole design, reduces blank zones, enhances design and drainage efficiency, and significantly impacts the advancement of gas drainage technology in high gas and outburst mines in China.
