Abstract

Fuscoporia ( Hymenochaetaceae ) is a genus of wood-decaying polypores widely distributed in tropical and temperate forests. Despite recent advances, its taxonomy remains challenging, especially for resupinate species. In this study, we describe three new resupinate species of Fuscoporia from Brazil combining morphological and phylogenetic analyses using ITS and nrLSU markers. The new taxa are placed within the F. ferrea and F. ferruginosa clades. An identification key to Neotropical Fuscoporia species is also provided to support further taxonomic and ecological studies.
