Abstract

Double common bile duct (DCBD) represents an exceedingly rare congenital anomaly of the biliary anatomy. Recently, our hospital admitted a patient diagnosed with DCBD, which was further complicated by the presence of choledocholithiasis. Preoperative imaging studies indicated a Type II classification. The patient underwent a laparoscopic exploration of the common bile duct for the purpose of stone extraction, followed by primary suture closure. The patient was discharged following a successful recovery.
