Abstract

A 10-year-old boy presented with recurrent abdominal pain and vomiting for Over a 20-month period. He had previously been diagnosed with recurrent acute pancreatitis at local hospitals and treated conservatively, but the symptoms continued to recur. Upon admission to our hospital, recurrent acute pancreatitis was confirmed. Endoscopic ultrasonography revealed a large diverticulum in the descending part of the duodenum. After resolution of the pancreatitis, the patient underwent duodenal diverticulum reconstruction via a submucosal tunnel combined with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) under endoscopic guidance. The procedure was well tolerated, and the patient recovered uneventfully.
