Abstract

Background : Pregnant women are highly vulnerable in disaster-prone areas. Socioeconomic conditions and family support significantly affect maternal resilience, influencing health outcomes during crises. Methods : This systematic review followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Searches were conducted in Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar for studies published 2020–2025. Eligible studies examined maternal resilience, socio-economic factors, and family support. Twenty articles were included after screening and quality assessment. Results : Family support (emotional, instrumental, informational) and stable socio-economic status consistently increased maternal resilience. Conversely, lack of support and economic instability heightened risks of anxiety, depression, trauma, and poor pregnancy outcomes. Preparedness training and community-based programs showed positive effects. Conclusion : Family support and socio-economic stability are critical determinants of maternal resilience. Maternal health programs in disaster-prone areas should integrate family-centered and economic empowerment strategies.
