Towards Intelligent Manufacturing: AI Based Defect Prediction and MES Integration

The technological revolution of recent years has enabled companies to improve the quality of their products and services while engaging in a process of continuous improvement. These technologies contribute to optimizing the critical points of current industrial systems and overcoming some of their limitations. This article is based on the development of a new intelligent MES capable of predicting defects on a production line. The system focuses primarily on quality management within the MES by leveraging data from FMEA and the control plan.The proposed system provides companies with a comprehensive approach to quality management by predicting failures before they occur, thanks to the ability of neural networks to model complex relationships between FMEA process data and control plan data. In this article, we propose the integration of this new intelligent system into the conventional MES, implementing all interactions with the different actors of the system.
