Among pediatric neoplasms, inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a relatively rare disease that typically presents as a solitary tumor within the pulmonary parenchyma and potentially causes both intrapulmonary and extrapulmonary complications. Surgical resection remains the standard treatment. Reports on endoscopic resection via fiberoptic bronchoscopy are limited. We present the case of a 7-year-old boy who presented to our hospital with recurrent cough. Imaging revealed pulmonary atelectasis, and the tumor was successfully resected via snare electrocautery via fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Follow-up revealed no recurrence. Thus, bronchoscopic resection may be considered a viable alternative treatment option for this type of tumor.
