Abstract

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS) is a rare but serious condition associated with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in which different internal and external body parts become inflamed, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, gastrointestinal tract.In this report, a female patient who presented with complaints of fever, abdominal pain, headache and fatigue lasting for seven days and whose systemic examination revealed positive findings of meningeal irritation is presented. The patient was initially evaluated as MIS-C due to the presence of hematological, gastrointestinal and central nervous system involvement along with fever and Covid antibody positivity, and was diagnosed with Visceral leishmenia in further examinations.
