Mediating Effect of Psychological Capital on Death Coping Ability and Quality of Work Life of Nurses in Cardiology Department

objective : to analyze the mediating effect of psychological capital on death coping ability and quality of work life of nurses in cardiology department, and to provide reference for nursing managers to carry out personalized human resource management and improve nurses 'quality of work life. Methods : By convenience sampling method, nurses in cardiology department of 12 general hospitals in Shanxi Province from May to December 2024 were selected as the survey objects. General data questionnaire, simplified death coping ability scale, psychological capital questionnaire and nurses 'quality of work life scale were used to investigate. Amos 26.0 software was used to construct the mediation effect model. Results : 347 nurses in cardiology department were investigated. The total scores of death coping ability scale (39.45±10.93), psychological capital questionnaire (110.19±17.21) and quality of work life scale (113.64±19.65) were positively correlated (p<0.05). Psychological capital partially mediated the relationship between death coping ability and quality of work life, the mediating effect was 0.119, accounting for 54.59% of the total effect. Conclusion : Psychological capital is a mediator between death coping ability and quality of work life. Nursing managers can improve nurses 'death coping ability, improve psychological capital and improve nurses' quality of work life.
