Abstract

This research introduces a novel biopolymer nanocatalyst, ND/Fe 3 O 4 /Pectin-Ag, supported by nanodiamonds, for the one-pot, three-component synthesis of 2-amino-4H-pyran derivatives. The catalyst was characterized using various techniques by Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-Ray diffraction analysis (XRD), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM), confirming its successful synthesis and appropriate morphology. Compared to existing methods, ND/Fe 3 O 4 /Pectin-Ag offers advantages such as high efficiency (up to 98% yield), solvent-free conditions, room temperature operation, and potential reusability due to its magnetic properties. This work presents a promising green approach for the synthesis of biologically active heterocycles.
