Abstract

Background This study aims to preliminarily construct a scientific, sensitive, and targeted psychiatric nursing quality indicator evaluation system to provide a theoretical basis for quality control in psychiatric nursing at psychiatric hospitals and general hospitals in Sichuan Province. Methods A literature review and expert group discussions were conducted to initially select the indicators. Using the three-dimensional quality structure model as the theoretical foundation, the Delphi method was employed in two rounds of consultation to finalize the psychiatric nursing quality-sensitive indicators. Results After two rounds of expert consultation, a total of 43 indicators across three dimensions were established for the psychiatric nursing quality-sensitive indicator evaluation system: 11 structural indicators, 21 process indicators, and 11 outcome indicators. The response rate of both rounds of questionnaires was > 80%, with authority coefficients of 0.867 and 0.882, and coordination coefficients ranging from 0.105 to 0.168. Statistical significance was confirmed (P < 0.05). Conclusion The psychiatric nursing quality-sensitive indicator evaluation system developed in this study is scientifically reliable and practical, offering actionable standards for psychiatric nursing quality evaluation.
