Objective: To construct a system to evaluate the quality of an index for breast cancer (BC) self-management interventions and to provide a tool for assessing the quality of these interventions to promote their effective implementation. Methods The three-dimensional quality evaluation model was used as the theoretical framework in this study, which included a literature survey and semistructured interviews with health professionals. The Delphi method and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) were used to screen for indicators, determine their weights, and establish a quality evaluation indicator system for self-management interventions in BC patients. Results: The effective response rates of the two questionnaires were 95.83% and 95.65%, the authority coefficients of the experts in the two rounds of consultation were 0.874 and 0.912, and the Kendall harmony coefficients of the overall indicators were 0.143 and 0.237. The final system for evaluating the quality index system for self-management interventions for BC patients included 3 primary indicators, 15 secondary indicators, and 42 tertiary indicators. Conclusions: The quality evaluation indicator system has high reliability and scientific value and therefore provides a tool for evaluating the quality of self-management interventions in BC patients. After further validation, these findings could be used to evaluate the quality of these interventions in clinical practice.
