People have always depended on water for their lives because it serves as a fundamental element to support health and environmental functions. Water of suitable quality remains vital for both human health and proper environmental equilibrium. The population requires water throughout daily activities such as drinking and farming as well as industrial processes and other basic requirements. This study focuses on the assessment of water quality from different sources. Water quality is vital for the health and sustainability of ecosystems. Bhopal, is blessed with a numerous number of lentic water bodies scattered in its undulating terrain. But rapid urbanization of the city during recent decades has resulted in a record rise in the city's water demand. The water sample sources are Water fall close to lakeview, Lower Lake, Shitaldas Bagiya, Karishma Park, Sair Sapata and Upper Lake. The study focused on analysing key parameters including Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and pH which indicate organic pollution levels and water oxygen content and water alkalinity or acidity. Water samples were gathered and analyzed under normal procedures. The results revealed that the majority of the neighbouring water sources were within tolerable levels for BOD, DO, and pH for good water quality. The results revealed that the majority of water sources were within tolerable levels for BOD, DO, and pH, which reflected good quality water. Future studies should consider including more parameters such as microbial load and seasonal dynamics to get an overall picture of water quality trends. It is vital to establish routine monitoring procedures and implement preventive measures to protect water resources from potential contamination.
