Abstract

Migraine is a prevalent neurological disorder with a complex pathophysiology that remains incompletely understood, despite the identification of several known triggers such as stress, dietary factors, and environmental changes. (1,2) This report discusses a case of a young male who experienced a severe headache following the consumption of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA). After thorough diagnostic evaluation and management, the patient was diagnosed with migraine without aura, as per the International Headache Society (IHS) criteria. (3) An individualized treatment plan was initiated, with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures. (2,3) The patient remained free of attacks for six months under this regimen.
