The demand for renewable energy sources has grown significantly due to the increasing environmental damage caused by pollution and high carbon emissions by traditional sources of energy. Energy efficiency plays a crucial role in solar power generation, a highly effective form of renewable energy. This paper aims to explore energy efficiency in solar power generation plants through a two-stage DEA-OLS approach using data from Sai Mitra, a multi-capacity solar power generation system in India. The findings of the study underscore the significance of adopting a holistic management approach for solar power plants, utilizing key ratios that combine desirable and non-desirable performance parameters.
