Abstract

The Mediterranean region, known for its abundant solar resources, presents a prime opportunity for optimizing photovoltaic (PV) systems. This study centers on monitoring the performance of an experimental autonomous PV system at a Mediterranean site. It involves monitoring environmental factors such as solar radiation, temperature, and humidity, as well as electrical parameters including battery characteristics, PV current, and voltage and load consumption. By analyzing these factors and their impact on PV performance, this research identifies key parameters crucial for enhancing energy production efficiency. The insights gained contribute to the advancement of PV technology and offer valuable guidance for deploying efficient solar energy solutions in the Mediterranean and similar climates.
