Abstract

This essay examines how contemporary imperialism reorganizes itself through the so-called “new” global economic restructuring, focusing on the territorial selectivity that defines the reticulated space. It argues that domination today occurs not solely through classical military or economic means, but via a combination of infrastructural control, platform-driven networks, and cognitive capture of subjects – all characteristic of the Post-truth Era. Drawing on the works of Milton Santos, Saskia Sassen, Achille Mbembe and Byung-Chul Han, the paper presents a critical reading of geographical space as both strategic node and functional element of the imperial project. It highlights that the selectivity of global flows and the neuroterritorialization of perception establish new forms of subordination, while also opening possibilities for reticulated resistance, infrastructural reappropriation, and the construction of sovereign territorial pacts.
