Objective: characterize users who seek care for anxiety conditions in a Psychosocial Care Center and Basic Health Units and learn about proposals for possible practices to be carried out in these services. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study. Data collection was through semi-structured interviews and field notes. The data was analyzed according to Minayo 2014 content analysis. The interviews were carried out with professionals who were members of the CAPS team and nurses from UBSs in the territory from May 8 to June 30, 2024. Results: three themes were identified: Adolescents and young people seek CAPs and UBS as a reference to treat their anxiety disorders, however, maintain low adherence to the care offered; elderly people seek services and maintain good adherence to the care offered at CAPS and UBS; practices carried out at CAPS and UBS and proposals highlighted as potential for anxiety care. Conclusion: It was possible to observe the growing demand for services by adolescents and young people with anxiety disorders, however, resistance and adherence to treatment is notable. On the other hand, elderly people attend services and seek anxiety care at CAPS and UBS with good adherence to the care offered. The professionals interviewed claim to carry out various activities, however, they would like to carry out other anxiety care practices such as: approaches that cover nutrition, relaxation techniques, body expression, Reiki and auriculotherapy with a focus on contributing to the management of the crisis and anxious symptoms.
