Abstract

We treated a patient with refractory Clostridioides difficile infection through a 42-day tapered and pulsed vancomycin regimen. In previous treatment courses, our patient had multiple recurrent infections. This case indicates that we should strengthen our vigilance toward ST5 strains that are positive for toxins A and B and binary toxins cdtA and cdtB.
