Abstract

This discussion paper maps the landscape of postgraduate taught master’s programmes in International Business (IB) and International Management (IM) across UK universities in 2025/26. Drawing on a dataset of 180 programmes from 113 institutions, the study examines curricula, admissions requirements, tuition fees, and institutional characteristics to analyse patterns of convergence and diversity within postgraduate business education. Findings highlight the dominance of the one-year MSc format, the mainstreaming of sustainability and responsible management themes, and clear segmentation by mission group. The report contributes evidence for curriculum design, institutional benchmarking, and higher-education policy debate on the future of international business education in the UK.
