Abstract

Since I entered the world of science, during my Master's degree in Physics, I have been involved in various teaching and science communication activities. Among them, I was invited to substitute for a physics teacher in a high school. From this experience emerged M42, a science teaching method that I subsequently shared with teachers at various levels, from elementary to high school. Although the method has proven effective in improving student performance and fostering scientific vocations, most teachers were afraid to apply it. This paper describes the main points of M42 and presents an analysis of what may be behind teachers' reactions.
