In Greece, English language proficiency exams such as Cambridge’s CPE, Michigan’s ECPE, ESB Level 3-C2, LanguageCERT - Mastery level, MSU-CELP, NOCN-C2, LRN-C2, and the KPG Exams at C2 level, among others (ASEP, 2025), are critical in shaping students' academic and professional opportunities. Preparing learners effectively for these high-stakes assessments involves navigating diverse classroom challenges, including varying learner needs, motivation levels, and the complexities of mastering advanced language skills. Recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) technology provide educators with innovative resources to enrich traditional teaching practices, even for those initially hesitant about technology use. This article addresses precisely this need by offering practical, evidence-based guidance on integrating accessible AI tools, like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepAI, etc., into EFL classrooms.
