In addition to examining modern day society, it is clear that artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the most life-changing tools in the 21st century. However, very few recognize that its foundations are rooted in the field of psychology. For example, the origins of AI was built through empirical studies of neural processing, human behavior and human cognition. This educational research paper outlines how early psychology experts such as Frank Rosenblatt and David Rumelhart had contributed and influenced the evolution of artificial intelligence through the designs of the perceptron and the back-propagation algorithm. Their empirical research into human perception built the road for AI systems to mimic human thought. In the world today, artificial intelligence sustains the ability to shape education, offer psychological insights and provide assistance in data analyzing practice. By understanding the psychological groundworks of AI, we would view the emphasis on how human mind patterns and human behavior had played an important role in the technological advancements of AI and how it is a benefit to the education sector. Finally, we would then establish that artificial intelligence is not disconnected from humanity but in fact it is a beautiful observation and study from it.
