Abstract

This paper introduces Onodynamics, the study of sustained load in human and civilizational systems. It observes that many failures commonly attributed to moral, psychological, political, or economic causes are more accurately understood as capacity failures arising from sustained compression. By isolating compression as a governing condition rather than a situational stressor, this work defines a distinct scientific object concerned with regime behavior under load. The paper does not propose interventions, prescriptions, or optimization strategies. It names a condition, delineates its properties, and establishes boundaries on interpretation and use.
