Abstract

The Pythagorean theorem is the most famous theorem. It was extended extensively over the ages, for instance as the Notrott-Ebisui’s fivefold theorem or as the four hinged squares theorem. Here, visuals proofs are presented for these generalizations, including a proof of the cosine rule in the style of Euclid’s windmill proof.
