Abstract

The SIR model has been widely used for many years and has gained renewed attention during the coronavirus pandemic. This research project examines the SIR (Susceptible–Infected–Recovered) model in the context of COVID-19, with a specific focus on India. We analyse the model at the national level as well as for two of the most affected regions: Maharashtra and Delhi. All statistics, collected data, and inferred parameters used in this study were obtained from official sources.
