This article builds upon and refines the author’s earlier research, which proposed that Oğuz Han may have been a historical figure whose biography was later obscured by mythologized narratives and fantastical genealogies. Specifically, the paper reiterates the hypothesis of Oğuz’s origin from the Qibi tribe, while introducing a new and plausible connection between him and two contemporary chieftains — together constituting the historically significant, though short-lived, Üç Oğuz union. By situating these findings within broader patterns of Turkic ethnogenesis, the study offers fresh insights into the prehistory and identity formation of the Oğuz Turks.
