Abstract

The present study explored the differences in measures of the dark triad traits for different age groups. To do this, a sample of 723 participants was obtained with an age range between 18 and 80 years old, then they were segmented into three different age groups. The results showed significant differences between the means of machiavellianism, psychopathy and narcissism for the groups, followed by a post-hoc analysis in which the group of young adults obtained meaningful highest means for each of the constructs, however, no meaningful differences were obtained between the means of constructs for the middle adults and older adult groups.
