Abstract

In this article, I investigate mind wandering as a means to understand consciousness. To explore its randomness, I examine the concept of memory through the lens of accessibility, arguing that the traditional understanding of working memory may not exist as a distinct structure. I define the parameters to describe the movement between our memories and thoughts. Additionally, I explore the nature of creativity and discuss why the content of our dreams can often be bizarre while explaining why these processes occur online rather than offline. Furthermore, I aim to clarify what conscious thoughts are and how we can define consciousness itself. Through this comprehensive exploration, I propose that we might be akin to computers and conventional perceptions of time and memory may be fundamentally flawed.
