This study investigates how speaking a given language impacts the articulation of gender identity, focusing on the experience of nonbinary individuals in the Italian sociocultural and linguistic context. Combining text mining and qualitative analyses, the research explores the linguistic strategies of nonbinary individuals highlighting the creative, performative, but also constraining nature of language in navigating gender-related challenges.
