Abstract

This paper presents a cognitive-perceptual model illustrating the internal production, amplification, and misprojection of hallucinations within the human sensory system. A series of annotated diagrams are used to identify two zones of perceptual distortion: the True Amplification Zone and the False Amplification Zone. These zones explain how internally generated experiences—such as tactile, auditory, or visual hallucinations—are misperceived as external realities. The model supports understanding clinical symptoms in psychosis, trauma-related disorders, and perceptual delusions.
