Abstract

Valid and reliable research methods are needed to assess the work-home boundaries. Data from two cross-sectional studies were used to test the psychometric properties of the Lithuanian version of Hecht & Allen (2009) Work-Family Boundaries Strength scale (internal consistency, discriminant, convergent and structural validity). Results revealed that the Work-Family Boundaries Strength subscales had high internal consistency. Adequate convergent and discriminant validity was confirmed. Finally, structural validity was confirmed by exploratory graph analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, which revealed that the two-factor structure of the scale had the best fit. The results showed that the Work-Family Boundaries Strength scale is a reliable and valid tool for assessing work-family boundaries among Lithuanians.
