Research is hard and studying alcohol-facilitated aggression (AFA) is one of the hardest forms thereof. Over the past half-century, research on this topic has developed substantially and much has been learned. In this chapter, we attempt to summarize the current state of the methodology used to study AFA and the most promising avenues for the future.
