Objective. This study assessed the feasibility, acceptability, and clinical utility of integrating automated, prognostic feedback with Deliberate Practice (DP) for psychological therapists.Method. Nine therapists invited their patients to consent to session recordings assessed for prognostic feedback, which informed DP targeted at personalised skill development. Feasibility, acceptability and therapeutic skills were assessed alongside qualitative interviews. Clinical outcomes from 97 pre-intervention and 79 intervention-phase patients were compared.Results. Intervention feasibility and acceptability, therapeutic skills and clinical outcomes improved pre- to post-intervention. Patient uptake of automated feedback was low due to concerns about artificial intelligence.Conclusions. Automated feedback and DP becomes more acceptable to therapists through engagement. It may improve therapeutic skills and effectiveness but requires addressing patient concerns to enhance participation.
