Abstract

Background: The present theoretical study addresses the integration challenge of integrating Freud's Drive Model (Freud, 1915) with Beck's Cognitive Theory (Beck, 1976). Method: Through synthesis of classical theories, this work constructs a Motivational Salience (MS) regulatory framework based on classical theories. Conclusion: These findings propose that the cognitive system dynamically guides instinctual behaviors through MS. This preprint combines English and Chinese versions in one PDF.
