The Buddhabrot, a fractal visualization of the Mandelbrot set, has emerged as a recurring motif in psychedelic and schizophrenic art, suggesting a deep-rooted connection between altered states of consciousness and archetypal imagery. This paper explores how individuals experiencing psychedelic visions or schizophrenia spontaneously produce imagery that mirrors the Buddhabrot’s recursive, fractal-like structure. Drawing on Jungian psychology, we argue that this phenomenon is not coincidental but indicative of the Buddhabrot as a psychoid archetype, existing at the threshold of psyche and matter. Through comparative analysis of artwork from psychiatric archives, online psychedelic art communities, and historical visionary artists, we demonstrate that the Buddhabrot's manifestation. The findings suggest that altered states of mind allow access to deep fractosymbolic realities embedded within the psyche, where fractal geometry and archetypal symbology are one and the same.
