Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of EDURINO's early coding games designed to cultivate computational thinking skills among children aged 4-8. Results indicated substantial improvements in pattern recognition (21.77% speed increase), accuracy in pattern construction (20.32%), algorithmic thinking (24.48% faster), and debugging (34.45% error reduction). The game’s adaptive design effectively provided challenges that enhanced logical thinking, sequential planning, and cognitive flexibility. Utilising robust gameplay data analysis methods, the study confirmed significant developmental gains in both specific coding concepts and broader cognitive skills. The findings showcase EDURINO’s innovative approach to introducing computational thinking at early educational stages, highlighting digital games' role in bridging foundational logical skills and future technological proficiency.
