This paper defines Mindflight Cognition as a core cognitive module within the Thought Operating System (TOS), serving as the jump-generating mechanism that elevates perspective, reconfigures structure, and drives philosophical evolution. Positioned as the second foundational pillar of the Kakushin Structural Theory, mindflight cognition is structurally differentiated from spontaneous insight or delusional leaps. It is characterized by six internal components and three generative factors, functioning in concert with Kakushin (core belief), structural pressure, and Structural Quotient (SQ). The paper further explores its links to structural shards and snap transformations, outlines its applicability in education, creativity, and human-AI collaboration, and addresses its limitations and pathological variants. Ultimately, mindflight cognition is framed as a catalyst for cognitive Big Bangs—triggering thought-chain reactions across collective OS architectures.
