Abstract

The results of the accuracy assessment of phase direction finders with horn antennas and antenna arrays made of Vivaldi elements are presented using a mathematical model of pulsed radio signal reflections from the underlying earth's surface. It is shown that the use of the proposed multi-point model of reflections from the earth's surface allows one to analyze and estimate the errors in the direction finding of radio emission sources by a phase direction finder on ground propagation paths of radio waves of various lengths.
