Abstract

The work is devoted to increasing the accuracy of determining the location of a mobile unit on a section of a railway track. To clarify the location of the unit, it is proposed to measure the input resistance of the rail line taking into account the influence of its equipment parameters, external factors, and the presence of longitudinal and transverse faults. The article presents the results of modeling changes in the values of the input resistance of a section of a railway track in various situations for a code track circuit with a frequency of 25 Hz traditionally used in the Russian Federation. The modeling results showed that it is possible to use the values of the complex input resistance of the road to determine the location of a mobile unit with an accuracy of 50 meters.
