Abstract

This paper is a continuation of a series of works, devoted to various aspects of the 1908 Tunguska event. A large number of hypotheses about its causes have already been put forward. However, so far none of them has received convincing evidence. Since the late 1950s, a large number of studies have been carried out in the area of the Tunguska event, including those related to radiocarbon measurements. Some radiocarbon measurements have produced results that are problematic to explain within the asteroidal and the cometary interpretations of the Tunguska event. This paper shows how these results can be explained using the geophysical interpretation.
