This paper proposes that life is not merely a biological phenomenon but a physical system defined by the convergence of four variables: energy, mass, information, and feedback loops. By formalizing this relationship through a functional model – EMIF – it argues that life may be the most observable and structured expression of how these variables interact. Drawing on thermodynamics, information theory, and complexity science, the paper explores whether life can serve as a lens through which to reconcile the persistent gap between quantum mechanics and general relativity. Rather than offering a final answer, this work presents a conceptual framework and intuitive model to guide further investigation.
