Abstract

We derive the spatial curvature term in the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker (FLRW) cosmological model from a first-principles entropic framework that incorporates a universal suppression law for coherence decay.By modifying Jacobson’s thermodynamic derivation of Einstein’s equations to include energy-dependent suppression of gravitational coupling, we show that the curvature term (k·c²)⁄R² emerges naturally from coherence decay. This provides a physical basis for interpreting curvature as a manifestation of decoherence in high-energy regimes—unifying thermodynamics, general relativity, and quantum information theory.
