Abstract

The aim of this study is to review existing types and effectiveness of family- supportive supervisor behavior interventions. A scoping review procedure was applied to search and review articles in four databases and Google Scholar. 23 papers (with 23 studies) were included. Results revealed mixed results. Three studies have confirmed that family–supportive supervisor behavior intervention can reduce employees work–family conflict while three studies have reported insignificant effect. Additionally, four studies have revealed insignificant changes in family–supportive supervisor behavior after intervention while only three have reported improvements. This is the first known study to review the family–supportive supervisor behavior and highlighting it`s main results for supervisor behavior itself and work-family interaction.
