Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly in medicine, offering new possibilities in diagnosis, therapy, and healthcare management. This article reviews the basic definitions of AI and its evolution in healthcare, highlighting practical applications such as medical image analysis, clinical decision support, and drug development. Selected examples of research and implementation, both international and domestic, are presented, highlighting challenges related to legal regulations, data quality, and system testing in clinical settings. The article summarizes the current potential of AI in medicine and highlights the need for further development and responsible implementation of these technologies.
